GREETING CARDS

These cards were inspired by a story of a girl that became a women. First she gets a letter for her 18th birthday, then she gets one for her wedding, then she gets one for when she was pregnant with her first child. All the envelopes were the same so that they connect with each other. They also have a different colured clip on each envelop to represent my signature design.

REFLECTION

REFLECTION OF MY FACE

Home sketches. I used car rear view mirrors and side mirrors to draw my reflection.

Here I painted distorted and normal reflections of my lips. I used monochromatic colours to create shadings. This lets me improve my observational skills and painting technique.
For the top photo I took the reflection of my lips from a steel rule, and that's what created the lines and numbers. To create a contrast between the top painting and the rest of them, I painted my eye which is circular in green.

COLOURS AND MOVEMENT (FINAL)

FINAL ARTWORK USING COLOURS AND MOVEMENT

For this art piece i was inspired by the sea and the sunset from the recent trip that i had been to (Tioman). I didn't just want to paint the sea and the fun, therefore I used paper and rolled them up to look like swirls and individually stuck them to the canvas using strong glue. I also wanted to add more definition by adding the sense of depth by cutting the paper at different sizes and lengths. I was more concentrated on the color blue and used four different shades to represent the different shades on the water.
for the sunset, I used a plastic cup to create the circular shapes on the canvas, and scraped some yellow paint to give more texture to the sun instead of making is smooth. for the sun, I used the back of the paintbrush to create the line texture with the paint.

COLOURS AND MOVEMENT (EXPERIMENT)

EXPERIMENTING WITH COLOURS AND MOVEMENTS

For this project I was experimenting colors, shapes and forms. I was trying to experiment on how to make two images different by the use of colors and shapes. I was also going towards more of a  minimalism as it is more of something that I would personally create. I think "less is more" is a true statement.
